Jon Ballard
Retired Public School Teacher and Superintendent
Jon has held nearly every certified position in the public schools. Starting as a high school math teacher and coach, he retired after a 33 year career as superintendent of a small, independent Kentucky school district. During his tenure, he has seen it all and navigated a whole host of situations that many new teachers will experience. It is his hope that his perspective will encourage and inspire the next generation of teachers.
Chris Reed
Current administer at a small private school and retired public school teacher and district administrator
Chris has spent the last 30 years in multiple education roles in elementary, middle and high school as a teacher, coach and principal. He spent the last 13 years of his career in district level administration.. The recently retired deputy superintendent is now serving as principal of a small private prek-8 school. He is also a part-time professor in elementary education. It was during his time as a professor that he noticed there was a great deal of “experience information” that was not getting handed down to new and future teachers. Education is getting more complicated and a real-world perspective is helpful as new educators start their career.
