Elizabethtown Police Department Hosts 3rd Annual Faith and Blue Event for Community Engagement

Introduction: In an effort to foster stronger ties between law enforcement and the community, the Elizabethtown Police Department is gearing up for the 3rd Annual Faith and Blue Event. Aligned with the National Faith and Blue Weekend, this event aims to connect law enforcement with their local communities through partnerships with faith organizations. Scheduled for Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Elizabethtown Sports Park, the event will feature a 5K Fun Run/Walk followed by a delightful Ice Cream Social.

Promoting Community Connections: The Faith and Blue Event endeavors to build and strengthen relationships between the police department and the community, aligning with their ongoing commitment to meaningful connections throughout the year. By engaging in these events, the Elizabethtown Police Department aims to bridge gaps and enhance community involvement in a fun and engaging manner.

Event Highlights: This community engagement event features a 5K Fun Run/Walk and an Ice Cream Social, all at no cost to the public. Participants who register before the T-shirt deadline, set for September 22, 2023, will receive a FREE event T-shirt. Additionally, every participant will enjoy Dewster’s Homemade Ice Cream, making this a truly sweet experience for all involved.

Event Schedule:

  • 5:30 PM: Event sign-in begins
  • 7:00 PM: The 5K Fun Run/Walk officially kicks off
  • Following the run, all participants will be treated to a delightful Ice Cream Social.

Moreover, the top male and female finishers will be awarded certificates for a FREE dozen of “Crime Fighting Biscuits (donuts),” adding an exciting twist to the event.

Uniting the Community: By organizing events such as the 3rd Annual Faith and Blue Event, the Elizabethtown Police Department is proactively working towards community engagement and building stronger connections. This initiative encourages participation and provides a platform for open communication between law enforcement and the community.
