Jingle All the Way at the Jingle Bell Trot

Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown, is the place to be this Saturday, December 14th, for a truly magical event—the Jingle Bell Trot! This unique nighttime race kicks off just before midnight, offering a festive and fun way to celebrate the holiday season under the glow of Christmas in the Park’s dazzling light displays.

Runners, walkers, and holiday enthusiasts alike are invited to gear up and join the excitement. If you are looking for a unique way to enjoy a cheerful holiday event, this promises to be an evening filled with joy and good cheer.

What to Expect:
The festivities start at 11:00 PM with packet pickup, and the race officially begins at 11:59 PM. The course takes participants through Freeman Lake Park’s enchanting Christmas in the Park display, providing a unique opportunity to soak in the twinkling lights and holiday decorations along the way.

Running for a Cause:
The Jingle Bell Trot goes beyond celebrating the season—it’s about giving back. Proceeds from the event will fund book vending machines for local elementary schools, helping to promote literacy and support young readers in our community.

Special Highlights:

  • Santa’s Special Visit: Santa Claus himself will be waiting at the finish line to celebrate your accomplishment! Afterward, enjoy a Hot Cocoa and Cookies party to cap off the festive evening.
  • Finisher Medals for All Participants: Every registered runner will receive a special medal to remember this magical night.
  • Awards Ceremony: The top three male and female runners in the under-18 and 18+ categories will receive special recognition.

Family Fun for Everyone:
The Jingle Bell Trot is perfect for participants of all ages. Registration is $40 per individual or $100 for a family of four, and kids under 5 participate for free—Santa insists! Whether you’re coming alone or bringing the whole family, this event is all about creating holiday memories together. Registration information is available HERE.
