With so many industries booming here in the Lincoln Trail region, it can feel overwhelming to figure out where to start when you’re on the hunt for a new career or job opportunity that fits your skills and passions. Thankfully, the Kentucky Career Center – Lincoln Trail is ready to help! I had the pleasure of sitting down with Robin Gooden, the Center Manager, to chat about all the incredible resources they offer to job seekers in our area.
October is Manufacturing Month here in Kentucky and across the nation, and the Career Center is excited to be part of the action with several job fairs dedicated to the manufacturing sector.
On October 14, they’ll be at the Nelson County Civic Center in Bardstown for a Manufacturing Job Fair. They’ll also kick things off with a résumé workshop to help you put your best foot forward.
Then, on October 22, job seekers can join them in Elizabethtown at the American Legion Hardin Post 113 for another Manufacturing Job Fair. They will have a résumé workshop there too, so you’ll be all set to impress potential employers.
Plus, On October 24, the Career Center will be participating in the 2024 Community Health Empowerment Expo, hosted by the Lincoln Trail District Health Department at the Pritchard Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
They also offer virtual job fairs, held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 1 to 3:30 p.m. EST.
